About Washington County Court Docket

Washington County court dockets are divided among Circuit, Criminal, Chancery, Probate, General Sessions, juvenile, and municipal offices. Tennessee has no single public statewide trial-court search that joins them all. This private reference resource helps readers identify the right clerk, official local portal, court date source, or record-request route without treating one index as the full official file.

Why We Built This Site

Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 34 starts from public access to public court records, subject to laws, rules, and court orders that restrict some material. In Washington County, finding the custodian is often the hard part. Brenda Downes is the AOC-listed Circuit Court Clerk, Sarah Lawson is Clerk & Master for Chancery and Probate, and other courts have separate contacts. The local TNCRTInfo index covers advertised Circuit and General Sessions categories, while Criminal Court, juvenile, municipal, and historical records may require another office.

What You Will Find Here

  • Docket help: ways to read and search criminal and civil docket entries
  • Settings: how to check court dates and confirm a hearing with the clerk
  • Case indexes: how the local case lookup handles names, years, and number segments
  • Copies: routes for court records, inspection, and clerk-certified documents

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to any Tennessee court, Washington County clerk, or government agency. Those limits matter:

  • We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
  • We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
  • We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now

Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.

Search Partners

Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results.
